Hunterian Museum — The Royal College of Surgeons

So for those of you in the occasional morbid mood, or just the intellectually curious, checking out this museum in London is an absolute must. Not for those that are squeamish as there are some pretty disturbing things in here. The Hunterian Museum houses John Hunter's old collection full of anatomical specimens which was purchased by the government and presented to the college. There are many obscure specimens of animals with mutations, skeletons of giants as well as old surgical equipment if you're a doctor. Definitely gruesome but also fascinating. The whole museum is like a scene from a sadist's basement in a horror movie but I've found it to be one of the more unusual things you can do in London.

Keepin' it Positive (although sometimes morbid),
Francis
